‘My love for American mainstream and Easy Listening music made me want to do only one thing in my life and that was to sing and write great songs. Music inspires so much and what can be better than reaching people and trying to be part or even the cause of their inspirations! I love good lyrics and great melodic tunes, so I always try to write catchy melodies and words that not only I but also people of all ages can relate to. There are some great songwriters out there and they’re the ones that have influenced me to do what I do, artists like Prince, John Mayer, George Michael and not forgetting Michael Jackson, all have played a major role in inspiring me to sing, write and perform.’
MJ started out singing at an early age but never really took it seriously; it was only when he found that he could mimic the voices he would hear on the radio that he thought more about a career in music. He formed 'FrontPage' his first band with a session musician called Luca Del Bianco, FrontPage developed their own distinctive sound mixing English Pop with Dance grooves.
After a year or so the boys decided a fresh approach was needed and with Luca producing more, MJ decided to get away for a while and it was during this period that MJ started his second band with long time friend Rik Gann, they called themselves ‘SOUNDS SOLO’. For a while it seemed that MJ had finally found what he was looking for but after falling foul to a bad music deal it left a bad taste in his mouth, so both Rik and MJ ended the group. MJ decided to leave the industry for a while infact for well over a year and a half. During this period MJ went back to basics and wrote song after song and found a new sound to boot.
MJ went back into the studio and the result was his last album ‘HONESTLY’, a collection of live recordings and full production tracks, it wasn’t a surprise that he called the album ‘Honestly’ because that’s just what it is, simple and honest music…
MJ Recently Signed a Single Deal with Rockarecords and they released 'Come Clean' in December 2010. MJ's latest Single 'These Are The Days', is out right now and the Brand New Album entitled 'INTERLUDE' has just been released.
